Sound may sometimes affect your game, if you are experiencing very lagish sound during the game, i recommend turnnig off your sound. But in most games the sound is interesting while playing so just enable it. You can do a maximisation of your global and reverb volume but turn off the bluetooth which will slow down your game.
The display over other apps feature is among the most important option in the mobile devices especially for gamers and streamers together with zoom and video call users. This option is always turned off to only make your phone faster and nothing else, enabling it does not harm your phone in any way.
